You have decided you would like a spa in your garden so you are able to enjoy a drink while having a soothing rest in the bubbly warm water.
If this is your idea of relaxation like so many other people then you need to started to think were you want your hot tub installed in you garden or house.
Do you have space?
There are many hot tubs to choose from, small 2 person hot tubs ones up to the very large 16 setter tubs. Make sure you choose the right size for you and your garden, as most hot tubs can look out of place in a small garden.
Hot tubs weigh a lot and even more once they are filled up with water so they have to be positioned on flat solid ground and not onto a raised surface like decking. There are hot tubs that can be built into the decking, making it blend in with your garden.
Where will you place the tub?
Even though you might have a large garden you might not have many suitable places. As hot tubs need to be wired up you need to be able to get power cable to the location. You may have a fantastic spot for it on your patio or decking but the decking will need to be reinforced to support the weight of the hot tub so will a patio if the base of the patio is not solid.
You also need to think about hot tub positioning it in a sensible location as well, like by the house so you are able to come out the house and jump straight in and not walk down the garden (you will not want to walk far during the wet winter).
It s always a good idea to make sure your neighbors can not see you in your tub you want it to be private (unless you want to show off to all your neighbors you have a hot tub).
